KMC Manipal MBBS Internship
Upon completing their Final Examination, KMC Manipal students must undergo a compulsory 12-month internship at the Institute. Graduates are expected to apply theoretical knowledge to practical skills under supervision, making themselves competent enough to handle all emergencies and provide basic medical consultation independently. The Internship program is tailored to enable the graduate to diagnose and treat common clinical diseases, make appropriate referrals to higher-level healthcare facilities, and efficiently use essential drugs, infusions, blood, or its substitutes and laboratory services. NEET UG Counseling
REGISTRATION & COUNSELING PROCESS
1. The Email Address and Mobile Number provided in the NTA Online Application Form are utilized for MCC portal registration during Counselling.
2. MCC of DGHS, MoHFW communicates all information through registered email or SMS on the provided Mobile Number.
3. The MCC of DGHS, MoHFW will not address complaints related to emailing the registered mobile number or email address.
4. To prevent technical issues, candidates are recommended to use a Laptop or Computer with the latest version of Chrome/Internet Explorer/Firefox/Windows/IOS during Registration and Choice-Filling.
5. Qualified candidates must register on www.mcc.nic.in to partake in the counseling process for seat allocation, as MCC does not assign seats through nomination or manual processes.
6. Download the Sandes app for OTP on the registered phone number for smoother registration.
ROUND-1
a) Primary counseling registration involves payment of a Non-Refundable Registration fee and a Refundable Security Deposit (refundable only to the account used for payment).
b) Candidates engage in the selection of choices and the subsequent locking of these choices.
c) The Seat Allotment process for Round 1 takes place.
d) Results of Round 1 are published on the MCC website.
e) Candidates must report to the allocated Medical/Dental College for the first round. Those who secure a seat in round one can express a willingness to upgrade from round 1 to round 2 by physically reporting at the allotted college.
ROUND-2
Candidates who participated in Round 1 but did not secure any allotted seat are exempt from re-registration. The process for Round-2 includes:
a) Fresh New Registration for Round 2 is required for candidates who:
- Have not registered in Round 1 (complete payment of fees required).
- Have Resigned / Not reported in Round 1, eliminating the need for re-registration.
b) Candidates engage in the selection of new choices for Round 2.
c) The results of Round 2 are published on the MCC website.
d) Candidates must report to the allocated Medical/Dental College for Round 2.
MOP –UP ROUND
- For the Mop-Up Round, fresh registration with the payment of registration fees is required for the following candidates:
- Those who registered in Round 2 and exited with forfeiture of fees can re-register with the payment of fees. However, candidates who have already joined and been admitted in Round 2 of AIQ/Deemed/ Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER/B.Sc. (Nursing) will not be eligible for the Mop-Up Round. (Candidates who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round 1 & Round 2 need not re-register).
- Fresh choice filling for the Mop-Up Round.
- Publication of Mop-Up Round results on the MCC website.
- Reporting at the allotted Medical/Dental College after the Mop-Up Round.
- A list of registered candidates, ten times the number of stray vacancies, will be sent to Deemed to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
FINAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND
The following key points outline the process:
- For Deemed Universities, the Stray Vacancy Round will be managed by the respective Deemed University.
- In the Final Stray Vacancy Round, there will be no fresh registration of candidates.
- Qualified and eligible candidates must register on the MCC website (www.mcc.nic.in) to participate in the counseling process for seat allotment. It is important to note that MCC does not allocate any seat on a nomination basis or manually.

NEET PG Counseling
REGISTRATION: INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION FORM
- The email and Mobile Number provided in the NBE Online Application Form will be utilized for MCC portal registration during Counselling, with these fields pre-populated in the Counselling form.
- The MCC of DGHS, MoHFW will not address complaints regarding changes to the registered mobile number or email address.
- It is advisable for candidates to use a Laptop or Computer with a stable internet connection during the Registration and Choice-Filling process to prevent any technical complications.
- Registration will be available at the commencement of the first round, second round, and mop-up round on specified dates. Subsequently, the registration facility will be discontinued. No requests for registration will be entertained under any circumstances after the closure of registration.
ROUND-1
a) Primary counseling registration involving the payment of a Non-Refundable Registration fee and a Refundable Security Deposit (to be refunded solely in the account from which payment has been made).
b) Selection of choices and subsequent locking of choices.
c) The Seat Allotment process for Round 1.
d) Publication of Round-1 results on the MCC website.
e) Reporting at the allocated Medical/Dental College for the first round.
Upgradation Procedure:
Candidates desiring to upgrade from Round 1 to Round 2 must report to the college allotted in Round 1 and fulfill the admission formalities. While completing the admission process, candidates are required to express their willingness for upgradation within the college.
ROUND-2
Candidates who registered for Round 1 without receiving any allotted seat are exempt from re-registration.
a) Fresh New Registration for Round 2 is mandatory for candidates who:
- Have not registered in Round 1 (complete payment of fees required).
b) Candidates who resigned or did not report in Round 1 are not required to register again.
c) Engage in Fresh Choice filling for Round 2.
d) Round 2 results are published on the MCC website.
e) Report to the allocated Medical/Dental College for Round 2.
MOP –UP ROUND
1. Fresh Registration with payment of the registration fee for Mop Up Round is applicable for the following candidates:
i. Those who registered in Round 2 but exited with forfeiture of fees without joining can register again with payment of fees.
However, candidates who have already joined and taken admission up to Round 2 of AIQ/Deemed/ Central Universities/DNB will not be eligible to participate in the Mop Up Round and Stray Vacancy Round. (Candidates who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round 1 & Round 2 need not re-register).
2. Engage in Fresh Choice filling for Mop Up Round.
3. Mop-Up Round results are published on the MCC website.
4. Report to the allotted Medical/Dental College after the Mop Up Round.
FINAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND
1. MCC of DGHS, MoHFW will organize AIQ Stray Vacancy Round for State-contributed seats.
2. Central universities/Institutes will have their rounds conducted by the MCC of DGHS, adhering to the eligibility conditions of the Central Institutes/universities/DNB.
3. Deemed Universities will conduct their Stray Vacancy Round independently.
i. There will be no fresh registration of candidates in the Final Stray Vacancy Round.
ii. No choice filling is allowed in the Stray Vacancy Round. Choices filled during the Mop-Up round will be considered for allotment in the Stray Vacancy Round.
iii. Online seat allotment will be carried out using dedicated software.
iv. Eligible candidates without any existing seat can participate in the Stray Vacancy Round.
RESULT
The NEET PG counseling process is overseen by MCC, relying on the results provided by NBE. The entire procedure is automated, eliminating any manual intervention. MCC initially uploads a provisional result in each round, allowing candidates to verify the outcomes based on their choices, merit, and eligibility. In case of discrepancies, candidates can contact MCC for resolution. The final result, uploaded after rectifying any discrepancies, is considered authoritative. The provisional result is indicative and not legally binding; candidates are cautioned against making travel arrangements based on this result. It is advisable to await the issuance of the final allotment letter by the MCC of DGHS.
Upon receiving a seat in any counseling round, candidates must download their ‘allotment letter’ from the MCC website (www.mcc.nic.in). If satisfied, candidates can proceed to the allotted college/institute for admission formalities within the specified reporting period. However, it’s crucial to note that MCC’s allotment in any round is provisional and contingent upon the physical verification of the candidate’s documents by the allotted college authorities.
ADMISSION
Once a candidate is content with the allotment, they should proceed to the allotted college/institute to complete the admission formalities. The original documents required during the joining process of KMC Manipal. The respective authorities of KMC Manipal will conduct the physical verification of the documents, and MCC has no role in this process. It is emphasized that the allotment made by MCC in any round is provisional and subject to the physical verification of documents by the allotted college authorities.
NEET PG Counseling Fees
For Deemed Universities: Rs 2,00,000/-
Any candidate opting for Deemed University will have to pay Rs 5000/- non-refundable fee + Rs 2,00,000/- Refundable Security Deposit at the time of registration.
