The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened registration for the third round of NEET UG 2025 counselling, which includes the All India Quota, as well as seats in Deemed and Central universities. Applicants can complete the registration process on the official website, mcc.nic.in. The deadline for registration is October 5, 2025. The choice-filling facility begins on September 30 and will remain accessible until 11:55 pm on October 5. Choice-locking will be available only on October 5, between 4 pm and 11:55 pm. The seat allotment for this round will be conducted from October 6 to 7, and the results are expected to be released on October 8, 2025.

NEET UG Counselling 2025: Who can Apply?
Only those who have cleared NEET UG 2025 can take part in the counselling rounds. The process applies to multiple categories of seats, including:
- 15% seats under the All India Quota (AIQ)
- All seats at AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, and ESIC colleges
- Institutional quota seats handled by the MCC
- AFMC and the Insured Persons (IP) quota at ESIC
- Seats offered by Central and Deemed Universities
How to Apply for NEET UG 2025 Counselling Online
Candidates need to complete the procedure through the official MCC portal (mcc.nic.in). The key actions involved are:
- Open the MCC website and go to the counselling section for undergraduate medical admissions.
- Use your NEET UG roll number and password to sign up or log in.
- Fill out the online application form and make the required payment.
- Provide scanned copies of the required documents, such as your admit card, ID proof, and category certificate (if applicable).
- Select your preferred courses and institutions, then confirm your choices within the given timeline.
- After submission, download and save the acknowledgement slip for records.

Students who accept the seats allotted to them are required to complete the admission process by reporting to their respective colleges between October 9 and October 17, 2025.
In parallel, the Union Cabinet has cleared the third phase of a centrally sponsored programme aimed at expanding medical education. Under this initiative, 5,023 MBBS seats and 5,000 postgraduate seats will be created in existing government medical colleges and institutions. The project will be implemented over the next three years with an estimated investment of ₹15,034 crore.
This development aligns with the government’s broader target of adding 75,000 medical seats within five years, a goal announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget earlier this year.
