Karnataka NEET Counseling 2024 Post Seat Allotment Process
The candidate here has 4 choices after the allotment. The choices are as below: –
Choice 1 – Satisfaction and Admission Acceptance:
If you are content with the allocated seat and are ready to commit to the allotted college, you may choose the following option:
“I am satisfied with the allotted seat and am willing to report to the allotted college; therefore, I should not be considered for further allotment of seats in any subsequent round for any college/discipline. I will pay the prescribed fees for the seat allotted by downloading the e-Challan or NEFT/RTGS/IMPS Challan or through the online payment gateway as per the procedure detailed on the KEA Website.
I will deposit the original documents and later download the admission order to report to the college. Immediately afterward, I will log in to my Option Entry Log-In-Id and inform KEA that I have joined the college. The college authority must also log in to their College Login ID and report that I have joined the college. Failure to report back to KEA about joining the college will result in the cancellation of the seat, even if physically joined.
Furthermore, if I have paid the fees, obtained the Admission Order, and failed to report to the college on or before the last date and time specified by KEA in the Admission Order, no extension of time will be granted. The allotment made in my favor shall be treated as canceled, and I will have no further claim on such allotment. I will not be considered for the allotment of seats in subsequent rounds, and such seats will revert to the pool, with the forfeit of the fees paid.
Implication: Not eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds.
Important: Before opting for this choice, I am advised to confirm that I cannot return to the Option Entry Process in UGNEET-2024/UGCET-2024.”
Choice 2 – Satisfaction with Participation in the Next Round:
If you are content with the allotted seat but wish to participate in the next round, follow this choice:
“I am satisfied with the allotted seat but wish to participate in the next round. I will pay the prescribed fees by downloading the Challan/allotted details from the KEA website for the confirmed or allotted seat in the first round and deposit the original documents. If higher options are allotted, the earlier allotted seat will be automatically canceled. If higher options’ seats are not allotted, the earlier allotted seat will remain in my favor.
Implication: Eligible to participate in the subsequent round while keeping the initially allotted seat on hold. However, if a seat in the higher options gets allotted, I will lose the old seat. There is no choice between the earlier allotted and newly allotted seats. I must compulsorily join the selected college allotted in the second-round seat allotment without providing any reasons/excuses.
Important: Fresh options will be permitted only for the new college/courses included in the seat matrix after the first-round allotment, specifically for the newly added college/course.”
Choice 3 – Dissatisfaction with Participation in the Next Round:
If you are not satisfied with the allotted seat but wish to participate in the next round by surrendering the allotted seat, choose:
“I am not satisfied with the allotted seat but wish to participate in the next round by surrendering the allotted seat.
Implication: Eligible to participate in the subsequent round by rejecting the allotted seat.
Action: I have to enter the options afresh. The options saved for the first round will not be considered for the next round’s seat allotment. If a seat is allotted, I must compulsorily join the selected college in the second-round seat allotment without providing any reasons/excuses.
Note: Chances of getting the seat are subject to seat availability, as other candidates next to my rank might have entered those options, and seats would be allotted to them in the first round based on merit.”
Choice 4 – Seat Rejection and Quitting:
If you are not satisfied with the KEA allotted seat and have secured a seat elsewhere, and you do not wish to be considered for further rounds, choose:
“I am not satisfied with the KEA allotted seat, and I have secured a seat elsewhere, so I am quitting and not to be considered for allotment of seats in any further rounds.
Implication: Not eligible to participate in the subsequent round, no hold on the allotted seat, and the earlier allotted seat will get canceled.
Note: If I fail to exercise any of the above four choices within the stipulated date and time, the allotted seat stands automatically canceled without further notice, and I will not be allowed to participate in further rounds.”

Important Instructions for Second Round Seat Allotment:
Types of Seats Available for Second Round:
1. Unfilled seats from the First Round, if any.
2. Choice 3 seats from the First Round.
3. Choice 4 seats from the First Round.
4. Candidates who chose Choice 1 in the First Round but failed to make payment or didn’t join the college.
5. Candidates who chose Choice 2 in the First Round but failed to make payment.
6. Cancelled/Surrendered seats.
7. Candidates allotted seats in the First Round but failed to exercise their Choice by the last date.
8. Newly added seats, if any.
9. Consequential Vacancies.
Types of Candidates Allowed for Second Round:
1. Choice 2 candidates from the First Round who made the payment.
2. Choice 3 candidates from the First Round.
3. Candidates who were not allotted any seat in the First Round.
Candidates Not Eligible for Second Round:
a. Choice-1 candidates of Medical/Dental first round.
b. Choice-4 candidates of Medical/Dental first round.
c. Candidates who did not exercise any Choice even after allotment of Medical/Dental seats in the First Round.
d. Candidates who exercised Choice 1 or 2 in the first round of Medical/Dental courses but failed to make the payment for the confirmed seat.
e. Candidates who exercised Choice 1 after seat allotment in the first round of Medical/Dental courses but failed to collect the Admission Order.
f. Candidates who surrendered/canceled their Medical/Dental allotted seats after the first round.
After the completion of the First Round seat allotment, all unfilled/surrendered/forfeited/canceled/newly added seats, if any, will be offered as CASUAL VACANCIES. All candidates who entered Choice 2 and 3 will be eligible to participate in this round.
The procedure for seat allotment in the Second Round will follow the same order as that in the First Round.

Post Allotment Procedure for Second Round: Implications and Steps for Candidates:
Implications:
1. Candidates have no choice to exercise after the seat allotment in the Second Round.
2. Candidates allotted seats in any discipline must pay the prescribed fees (if not paid) and report to the colleges before the specified last date mentioned in the admission order. Failure to do so will result in losing the allotted seats.
3. Legal action will be initiated against candidates who fail to report to the college after seat allotment in the Second Round.
Steps for Candidates who already paid fees in the First Round:
Follow these steps if you have already paid fees in the First Round:
1. Download a fresh Challan for the seat allotted in the Second Round, even if you downloaded and paid in the First Round.
2. The Challan will display fee payment details from the earlier round.
3. Fees paid in the earlier round will be adjusted for the seat allotted in the Second Round.
4. If there is no difference in the fees paid and the fees in the allotted college in this round, download the admission order from the KEA Website, enter the required credentials, and report to the college before the last date mentioned in the Admission Order.
5. Compulsorily update the details through your log-in ID to KEA. Failure to update the reported details will result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.
Steps for Other Candidates:
Follow these steps if you have not paid any fees or paid lesser fees in the Second Round:
1. If you have not paid any fees or have paid lesser fees in the Second Round, follow the same procedure detailed above.

Karnataka NEET Counseling 2024 Medical Mop-up Round Eligibility Criteria
General Instructions for Mop-Up Round Counselling:
1. Candidates allotted any Medical seat in the First Round (Choice 1 & 2) or Second Round are not eligible to participate.
2. Candidates allotted seats under All India Quota / Deemed University / ESIC / any state boards, etc., are not eligible to participate.
3. Candidates who did not exercise any option in the first or second round are not eligible for the mop-up round.
4. Candidates who joined the college after allotment in the All India Counseling, including Counseling for Deemed Universities, are not eligible for the mop-up round.
5. Candidates allotted a Dental seat through KEA can participate in the selection of a Medical seat only, not for a dental seat again.
6. Candidates registered & verified exclusively for the mop-up round are eligible.
7. Eligible candidates must register their interest in participating in the mop-up round on the KEA portal as per the schedule. They must download the entry pass for the mop-up round and produce it at the venue on the day of counseling.
Documents required for Mop-Up Round:
a. Entry pass downloaded from the KEA Website.
b. Verification Slip issued by KEA.
c. Fees in the form of Demand Draft.
d. Undertaking in the prescribed format regarding admission from other boards.
e. In case of cancellation after allotment in the mop-up round, the entire fees paid will be forfeited, and the candidate will be liable to pay a prescribed penalty.
8. The candidate’s photo will be printed on the entry pass. The accompanying person’s photograph must be uploaded before taking the entry pass printout.
9. Candidates must be present personally for counseling; no one can represent the candidate under any circumstances. Only one person (Parent / nearest relative) can accompany the candidate.
10. Candidates must pay the prescribed fees in the form of a demand draft drawn in favor of “The Executive Director, KEA” payable at Bangalore. Online payment, cheques, or cash are not allowed.
11. Check the KEA Website for seat availability / vacant seats for the mop-up round allotment before participating.
12. The mop-up round may extend into late hours. Candidates are advised to come prepared; they may carry some food and medicines if required.
13. Counseling will be stopped once the seats are exhausted. Candidates/parents are informed to check the availability of seats before participating in the mop-up round.
14. If any seats get canceled/surrendered or become vacant before the mop-up round, such seats will be considered for allotment in the respective category first. Any unallotted Government reserved seat after exhausting the last rank will be decategorized and offered to the next eligible candidates.
15. All other instructions/orders issued by Apex Bodies/Government will apply.
The offline seat allotment for the mop-up round will be conducted at KEA, 18th Cross, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru, as per the given schedule.
College Joining Confirmation Report:
The college authority of Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research must log in to their College Login ID and report that the respective candidate has joined the college.
