NEET PG 2025: The Press Information Bureau (PIB) of the Government of India has flagged a misleading notification being shared on social media, which falsely claims that the NEET PG 2025 has been postponed to August 17. This misinformation has caused confusion among medical aspirants across the country.
Clarifying the situation, the PIB’s official fact-checking handle posted on platform X (formerly Twitter), confirming that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has not released any such announcement regarding a date change of NEET PG 2025 exam. Aspirants have been advised to ignore such fake posts and instead refer only to the NBEMS’s official website — natboard.edu.in — for authentic and up-to-date information.
As per the latest and verified notification issued by NBEMS, the NEET PG 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on June 15, 2025. The examination will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format and will be held in two shifts on the same day. This new scheduling format has been introduced to accommodate the large number of candidates expected to appear for the exam.
The official notice further stated that the detailed information bulletin — including guidelines, eligibility criteria, and application procedures — will be published on the NBEMS website in due course. Candidates are advised to monitor the official portal regularly to avoid missing any important updates or deadlines regarding NEET PG 2025.
NEET PG is a national-level entrance exam conducted annually for admission into postgraduate medical programs such as Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), and various PG Diploma courses across medical colleges in India. The exam is a crucial step for MBBS graduates aspiring to specialize in different branches of medicine.
To stay informed and avoid falling victim to rumors, NEET PG 2025 aspirants should rely solely on official communications from NBEMS and PIB. Following verified sources is essential in a high-stakes exam environment where misinformation can lead to unnecessary panic and confusion.
