The Medical Council Committee (MCC) has released the schedule for NEET PG 2024 counselling. The registration period for Round I will be from September 20 to September 26, 2024. Eligibility for participation in the MCC NEET PG Counselling 2024 requires candidates to meet the NEET PG Cutoff marks. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) will release the NEET PG 2024 Merit List, which includes names of candidates eligible for counselling. The MCC has outlined the counselling schedule for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. NEET PG Counselling 2024 Highlights
The NEET PG 2024 Counselling will be held for admission to 50% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats in M.D., MS, and MCh programmes. NEET PG Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the NEET PG 2024 counselling rounds, candidates must meet the following criteria:
1. Minimum Score Requirement:
Candidates must clear the NEET PG 2024 exam and achieve a score above the minimum cutoff set by the authorities.
2. Eligibility Criteria:
All eligible candidates who meet the cutoff are allowed to participate. There are no domicile-based restrictions for placement.
3. Ineligibility Conditions:
- J&K Aspirants: Participation for candidates from Jammu & Kashmir depends on the availability of seats allocated to the region.
- OCI/Foreign/PIO Nationals: According to the Ministry of Home Affairs Gazette Notification No. S.O.1050(E) dated March 4, 2024, and subject to the outcome of W.P. No. (C) No. 891 of 2024 by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, OCI/Foreign/PIO nationals are not eligible for All India Quota seats.
Candidates failing to meet these eligibility requirements will be deemed ineligible for the NEET PG 2024 counselling process.
NEET PG Counselling 2024 Process
The NEET PG 2024 counselling is conducted online via the official MCC website. Eligible candidates must register to take part in the counselling rounds. This involves entering personal details, uploading required documents, and selecting preferred colleges and courses. To navigate the NEET PG counselling 2024 process effectively, follow these steps:
Step 1: Registration
- Begin by accessing the official MCC website.
- Click on the “New Registration” option.
- Enter required information such as Roll Number, Stream, Testing ID, Name, Date of Birth, and Security Pin.
- Upon successful registration, a Registration Slip with candidate details will be generated.
Step 2: Login
- After registering, log in using your credentials (login ID and password).
- Provide additional details like your mother’s and father’s names and your address.
- Ensure that the information matches your documents for admission.
Step 3: Fee Payment
- Pay the non-refundable registration fee online through Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.
Step 4: Choice Filling
- Enter and submit your preferred choices for colleges and courses.
- You may select multiple options, ordered by preference.
- Click on ‘Save & Continue’ after entering your choices.
Step 5: Mock Counselling
- Participate in a mock counselling session conducted by MCC to understand the process. Seat allotment in this phase is based on your preferences and All India Rank.
Step 6: Choice Locking
- Once you have filled in your choices, you can lock them by clicking ‘Choice Lock.’ Enter your password to confirm.
- It’s recommended to print the locked choices for reference.
- If you do not lock your choices manually, they will be automatically locked.
Step 7: Seat Allotment
- Seat allotment will be carried out based on your choices, seat availability, and All India Rank.
- MCC will release the results for the first counselling round, including details on allotted institutes, subjects, and categories.
Step 8: Reporting to Allotted Colleges
- Download your allotment letter and report to the assigned college with all necessary documents and the required fee.
Documents Required for NEET PG 2024 Counselling
To ensure a smooth admission process for NEET PG 2024 counselling, candidates must present the following essential documents:
- Proof of Birthdate: High School/Higher Secondary Certificate or Birth Certificate.
- Academic Marksheets: Mark sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Professional examinations.
- NEET PG 2024 Admit Card: To verify your examination details.
- NEET PG 2024 Result: Proof of your examination outcome.
- MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate: Or Provisional Certificate if the degree is not yet conferred.
- Registration Certificate: Permanent or Provisional registration certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council (SMC). Note: Provisional certificates are acceptable only for candidates completing their internship by March 31, 2024.
- Internship Completion Certificate: A certificate from the head of the institution confirming the completion of the internship by March 31, 2024.
- Identification Proofs: Accepted forms include Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Aadhaar Card.
