The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has confirmed that the provisional seat allotment result for NEET UG 2025 counselling round II will remain unchanged. Earlier, the round 2 merit list had been withdrawn and candidates were advised not to report to colleges. However, reporting has now resumed as per schedule.
According to the official clarification issued on September 18, 2025, the allotment result published at 11:40 AM on the same day continues to be valid. Candidates are instructed to download their allotment letters and complete reporting formalities accordingly.
To check and download the allotment letter, applicants must log in to the MCC portal at mcc.nic.in using their registration number and password.
Why was the result put on hold?
The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) of DGHS identified that a Government Medical College had mistakenly reported double the number of seats available for Round II. Following this, the authorities instructed a revision of the seat allotment result announced on September 18, 2025.
A notice issued the same day stated that the Round II final result was being withdrawn for correction and that reporting would remain suspended until further updates. Candidates were advised to wait for the revised seat allotment list before moving ahead with the reporting process.
Why does the result remain unchanged?
The situation has left many candidates uncertain about why the Round II result has not been altered. The MCC has not provided a detailed explanation, apart from instructing candidates to continue reporting as per the original schedule. This lack of clarity has raised questions among students about whether the issue was simply a matter of confusion.
With the updated notice, some candidates may turn to social media platform ‘X’ to seek further clarification from the authorities. Those allotted seats in the second round are advised to carefully review the instructions and timelines available on the official MCC website before proceeding with counselling.
