NEET PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Detailed Overview
1. Academic Qualification
Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a medical college recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the Medical Council of India (MCI). The degree should be from a recognized Indian university or, for foreign medical graduates, must be validated through the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE) conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
2. Internship Requirement
Applicants are required to complete a one-year compulsory rotating internship in accordance with NMC/MCI regulations. The internship must be finished by July 31, 2025. Candidates must submit an internship completion certificate during admission.
3. Age Limit for NEET PG 2025
There is no age restriction for candidates applying for NEET PG 2025. Eligibility depends solely on fulfilling the educational and internship criteria.
4. Number of Attempts for NEET PG 2025
There is no restriction on the number of attempts. Candidates may appear multiple times to improve their scores.
5. Domicile Criteria for NEET PG 2025
Candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir are ineligible for the 50% All India Quota seats unless nominated by the Government of India. Such candidates must submit an affidavit to the Deputy Director (Exams) at NBEMS confirming their eligibility for All India counselling.
6. Eligibility for Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs)
Foreign medical graduates must have a valid FMGE pass certificate issued by NBEMS. Additionally, they should be registered with the NMC/MCI and have completed a one-year internship as per Indian medical standards.
