Upon completing their Final Examination, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College students must undergo a compulsory 12-month internship at the Institute. ROUND-1
a) Primary counseling registration involves payment of a Non-Refundable Registration fee and a Refundable Security Deposit (refundable only to the account used for payment).
b) Candidates engage in the selection of choices and the subsequent locking of these choices.
c) The Seat Allotment process for Round 1 takes place.
d) Results of Round 1 are published on the MCC website.
e) Candidates must report to the allocated Medical/Dental College for the first round. Those who secure a seat in round one can express a willingness to upgrade from round 1 to round 2 by physically reporting at the allotted college.
ROUND-2
Candidates who participated in Round 1 but did not secure any allotted seat are exempt from re-registration. The process for Round-2 includes:
a) Fresh New Registration for Round 2 is required for candidates who:
- Have not registered in Round 1 (complete payment of fees required).
- Have Resigned / Not reported in Round 1, eliminating the need for re-registration.
b) Candidates engage in the selection of new choices for Round 2.
c) The results of Round 2 are published on the MCC website.
d) Candidates must report to the allocated Medical/Dental College for Round 2.
MOP –UP ROUND
- For the Mop-Up Round, fresh registration with the payment of registration fees is required for the following candidates:
- Those who registered in Round 2 and exited with forfeiture of fees can re-register with the payment of fees. However, candidates who have already joined and been admitted in Round 2 of AIQ/Deemed/ Central Universities/AIIMS/JIPMER/B.Sc. (Nursing) will not be eligible for the Mop-Up Round. (Candidates who registered but were not allotted a seat in Round 1 & Round 2 need not re-register).
- Fresh choice filling for the Mop-Up Round.
- Publication of Mop-Up Round results on the MCC website.
- Reporting at the allotted Medical/Dental College after the Mop-Up Round.
- A list of registered candidates, ten times the number of stray vacancies, will be sent to Deemed to be exhausted strictly in order of merit.
FINAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND

- For Deemed Universities, the Stray Vacancy Round will be managed by the respective Deemed University.
- In the Final Stray Vacancy Round, there will be no fresh registration of candidates.
- Qualified and eligible candidates must register on the MCC website (www.mcc.nic.in) to participate in the counseling process for seat allotment. It is important to note that MCC does not allocate any seat on a nomination basis or manually.

- Registration will be available at the commencement of the first round, second round, and mop-up round on specified dates. Subsequently, the registration facility will be discontinued. No requests for registration will be entertained under any circumstances after the closure of registration.
ROUND-1
a) Primary counseling registration involving the payment of a Non-Refundable Registration fee and a Refundable Security Deposit (to be refunded solely in the account from which payment has been made).
b) Selection of choices and subsequent locking of choices.

Upgradation Procedure:
Candidates desiring to upgrade from Round 1 to Round 2 must report to the college allotted in Round 1 and fulfill the admission formalities. While completing the admission process, candidates are required to express their willingness for upgradation within the college.
ROUND-2
Candidates who registered for Round 1 without receiving any allotted seat are exempt from re-registration.
a) Fresh New Registration for Round 2 is mandatory for candidates who:
- Have not registered in Round 1 (complete payment of fees required).

FINAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND
1. MCC of DGHS, MoHFW will organize AIQ Stray Vacancy Round for State-contributed seats.
2. Central universities/Institutes will have their rounds conducted by the MCC of DGHS, adhering to the eligibility conditions of the Central Institutes/universities/DNB.
3. Deemed Universities will conduct their Stray Vacancy Round independently.
i. There will be no fresh registration of candidates in the Final Stray Vacancy Round.
ii. No choice filling is allowed in the Stray Vacancy Round. Choices filled during the Mop-Up round will be considered for allotment in the Stray Vacancy Round.
