Eligibility Criteria

1. Must be an Indian citizen
2. Must have passed NEET UG
3. Must have passed PCB and English as separate subjects. Must have achieved a minimum aggregate of 50% in PCB in the qualifying examination. However, for candidates from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the required aggregate is relaxed to 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Bio-technology. General/EWS candidates must obtain 50% as per the original requirement. Additionally, for Persons with Disability, the minimum aggregate is 45% for both General-PH and EWS-PH candidates.
4. Must be 17 as of 31st December of the exam year.
5. Apart from Indian students, these students can also get admission:

NRI Eligibility

The eligibility for admission under the NRI Quota seats will be NRI candidates themselves or children of NRI whose parents are residents of Bihar and must fulfill all the eligibility requirements and criteria prescribed for admission under the UR Category.

Bihar NEET UG Medical Counseling Procedure

1. Online Registration

Students have to fill in the information in the application form. Student must enter their NEET-UG 2023 Roll No. Click the verify button, enter your DOB, and click OK to confirm their details. An OTP will be sent to the mobile no. and email ID if the data gets verified. After verifying OTP, move ahead to the further process. Candidates’ all details related to Registration will be sent to the email ID and No. After successful Registration, the student will receive a message on their registered mobile no. and email. After that, students will have to login by entering their NEET-UG-2023 Application no. and Password and will process further to submit their application form. The NEET-UG-2023 Application No. Provided to the student will be his “user name.”

2. Personal information

After registering successfully, students must sign in again, enter their personal information, and click the “Save & Continue” button.

3. Upload photo and signature.

After scanning it, students should upload their passport-size photo and full signature in Hindi and English (Not in capital letters). Then click on the “Save & Continue” button.

4. Education information

After uploading their photo and signature, students should fill in their education details.

5. Preview your Application

Students must preview their applications. And after going through everything, they must click the “Save & Continue” button.

6. Payment of Counselling Fee and Security Deposit

Pay the counseling fee and security deposit online. The counseling fee is not refundable.

Counseling Fees

Candidate has to pay Rs. 1200 for UNRESERVED/BC/EBC candidates and Rs. 600 for SC/ST/DQ candidates as a nonrefundable registration/counseling fee through online mode only, e.g., by Credit card/Debit Card/ Net Banking / UPI. But in the case of Pvt. Colleges, all candidates have to pay Rs.1200/- only as nonrefundable Registration & Counselling Fee.

Method of Selection and Admission

1. Merit list of all the students released by the Department of Health, Govt. of Bihar, based on NEET (UG)-2023, will be the basis for UGMAC-2023 admission.
2. There will be four rounds of Counselling, i.e., Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round.
3. Students have to fill in their choices online for UGMAC-2023 counseling.
4. After completing the choice-filling process, seat allotment will be published on Board’s website. If the student is allotted a seat during 1st round, they must report at the reporting center for document verification. After document verification, they will take admission or go for free exit if found eligible.
5. Allotment will be made online for rounds 1 and 2. Mop-up counseling will be done offline.
6. A fresh choice filling can be done for Round 2 by those students who:

• Completed the registration process for round 1 but did not fill in the choices for any reason.
• Have been allocated a seat in Round 1 but have taken a free exit.
• Have not completed the registration process during Round 1 due to any reason.

A candidate who has filled his choices online for UGMAC-2023 counseling within the stipulated period and could not get any seat either in Round 1 or 2, then their security deposit will be credited to their bank account from which they have deposited the same after the end of all rounds of counseling. Such candidates are eligible for MOP-UP Counselling if they are not admitted to any Medical College of India via NEET(UG)-2023.
