Telangana MBBS Admission 2025
The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) is responsible for organizing the counseling process for Telangana NEET 2025 admissions. To secure a seat in an undergraduate medical course, students must complete the Telangana NEET 2025 application form within the deadline. Based on these registrations, the authorities will publish a provisional merit list for Telangana MBBS 2025 admissions. Only medical aspirants who have successfully verified their documents for admission will be included in Telangana’s final NEET 2025 merit list, and these candidates will be granted admission. Candidates must note that qualifying for NEET is a mandatory requirement to be eligible for Telangana MBBS admission. So, aspiring medical students should ensure they perform well in the NEET exam to increase their chances of getting into medical colleges in Telangana.

85% state quota seats – KNRUHS will conduct counseling based on state merit rank derived from NEET UG 2025 score.
15% All India Quota seats – Based on the rank obtained in NEET UG 2025, Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counseling for AIQ seats.
Private medical colleges – Based on the state merit rank, KNRUHS will conduct counseling for Telangana MBBS admission.

Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality Requirement: Only Indian Nationals (Citizens of India) can apply for MBBS admissions.
- Local or Non-local Status: Candidates must satisfy the residence requirement in Telangana as per the Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admissions) Order, 1974.
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates should have passed the 10+2 pattern or an equivalent examination with specific subjects. OC candidates (including those seeking EWS reservation) must obtain at least 50% marks in science subjects, BC/SC/ST candidates require a minimum of 40% marks, and OC PWD candidates need 45% marks in science subjects.
- Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 17 years as of 31-12-2025.
- NEET UG –2025 Cutoff Scores: Candidates should secure the specified cutoff scores or higher in the NEET UG 2025.
Eligibility Conditions of Candidates who are domicile in Telangana/Andhra Pradesh
Candidates must meet the criteria of being Local or Non-local based on the relevant government orders and regulations. Non-local candidates are only eligible for 15% of the unreserved seats, while local candidates can compete for both 15% unreserved seats and 85% of seats reserved for the local area. It is essential to note that candidates from other states can only be eligible for admission under the unreserved quota if they meet specific conditions.
The following categories of students are eligible to apply for 15% of unreserved seats:
- Candidates who qualify as Local candidates.
- Candidates who have resided in the State for ten years, excluding periods of study outside the State, or whose parents have resided in the State for ten years, excluding periods of employment outside the State.
iii. Candidates who are the children of parents employed in the State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local bodies, Universities, Educational institutions, and similar Quasi Public institutions within the State.
- Candidates who are spouses of individuals employed in State or Central Government, Public Sector corporations, Local bodies, Universities, Educational institutions recognized by the Government or University, or other Competent Authorities, and similar Quasi Government Institutions within the State.
Note: Candidates need to provide relevant certificates with their application to support their claims regarding residence, which must be obtained from the Mandal Revenue Officer.

Step-by-step Process
- The website https://tsmedadm.tsche.in displays the home page, where the UG admission program registration involves four steps:
- Mobile and Email Registration
- Candidate Registration (Payment of fee)
- Updating of data
- Uploading of Certificates.
- To begin the registration process, click “Mobile and Email Registration.” Ensure you have a valid and active Mobile and Email Id. OTP will be sent to both of these contacts for verification purposes. Keep them active until the counseling process is completed.
- Enter the received OTPs for mobile and Email Id verification and click the validate button.
- If all details are accurate and verified with OTPs, a successful message will be displayed, and you can proceed to the registration form.
- The Registration Form will appear; you must provide the required details.
- After entering the details, click the validate button, and you will be redirected to the Payment Gateway for fee payment.
- Once all details are correct, the system will display a payment reference number for further processing. The Registration fee varies based on your caste category, and please note that there will be no refunds after payment.
- Proceed to the Payment Gateway and select your preferred mode of payment.
- After successful payment, a message confirming the payment will be displayed, and you will receive the Registration number on your mobile and email. Make sure to note down this number for future reference.
- To update candidate details, enter the Roll and Registration numbers and click the validate button to access the Application form.
- The Application form will be displayed, where you can fill in the required details and upload a Passport Size Photo and Signature. (Note: Scanned photo and Signature should be less than 100 KB and in JPEG or JPG format).
- After completing the form, click the “Save and Exit” Button. This process can be repeated using the Data Updation link on the Home page until all the data entered is correct. Then, upload the required certificates by clicking the “Upload Certificates” Button.
- After successfully uploading all the required certificates, click “Save and Print.” This action will generate a filled-in application form that you can take a printout of for further assistance. You will access the earlier saved data by clicking the “Print Application” button.

Merit List
The KNR University of Health Sciences has issued a notification for Competent Authority Quota seats, and candidates who have applied online will be ranked based on their NEET-UG-2025 scores and eligibility criteria. Once the University and concerned departments verify the candidates’ original certificates, a provisional final merit list of eligible candidates will be released, and they can proceed with web counseling options. Telangana MBBS Counseling 2025
KNRUHS has planned two rounds of counseling to allocate medical seats in the State. To be eligible for Telangana MBBS 2025 counseling, medical aspirants must secure a position on the merit list. Eligibility conditions of candidates who are domiciled in Telangana / Andhra Pradesh and possess a foreign medical degree
- The candidate’s eligibility for admission is determined based on their Local/Non-local status as per GO.No.646 Edu (W1) department dated 10-07-1979 and Presidential order. Non-local status candidates are eligible for 15% of unreserved seats, while local candidates are also eligible for 15%. The 15% Un-reserved Quota applies to Medical colleges established before 02-06-2014.
- Candidates with Medical qualifications equivalent to MBBS (Primary Medical qualification) from countries outside India must ensure that their degree is recognized by the Medical Council of India/National Medical Commission for enrollment as Medical Practitioners in the country and registered by MCI/NMC.
iii. All candidates must possess Permanent Registration with the Medical Council of India/any State Medical Council, and the certificate should be uploaded along with the application.
- Candidates must pay the Equivalency fee for verifying their Degree certificate obtained outside the State, as specified in the regulations, along with the Registration and Processing fee. Please note that the Verification Registration and Processing fees are non-refundable and cannot be adjusted to a future date. Candidates are advised to thoroughly check the eligibility criteria before applying and determine their merit position in respective categories for State quota seats based on NEET PG – 2025 scores.
- Candidates currently studying Postgraduate Degree/Diploma and DNB courses are not eligible to apply for additional Postgraduate Degree/Diploma and DNB courses.

- MBBS/Equivalent Degree should be recognized by the NMC (National Medical Commission).
- Candidates must have studied MBBS in any one of the Medical Colleges in India.
- MBBS Graduates should have completed an internship on or before 11-08-2025 from recognized colleges (by NMC).
- In-service candidates’ government service will be calculated as of 30-06-2025.
- Candidates must be registered with the State Medical Council, and proof of registration should be uploaded along with the online application.
- Candidates need to pay a fee for verification of certificates regarding equivalence as specified in the regulations, along with the registration fee (for Degrees obtained in other states/countries). This fee is non-refundable.
